The various components inside a robotic vacuum cleaner, such as the motor, sensors, and control circuits, all require specific voltages and currents to ensure their proper functioning. For example, the motor driving the robot typically requires a relatively high voltage to provide sufficient power, while some sensors and control chips require lower and more stable voltages to ensure accurate data acquisition and processing. The Necessity of Using a DC-DC Power Module for Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

Meeting the Voltage Requirements of Different Components: A DC-DC power module can convert the single voltage provided by the battery into the different voltages required by each component, ensuring that each component can operate normally at the appropriate voltage. For example, a robotic vacuum cleaner's battery voltage is 18V; a DC-DC power module can convert this to 12V to power the motor, and simultaneously convert it to 5V and 3.3V to power the sensors and control chips, respectively.

Improving Power Efficiency: Using a high-efficiency DC-DC power module can reduce energy loss and extend battery life. For example, some high-end robotic vacuum cleaners use DC-DC power modules with an efficiency of over 90%, significantly improving battery life compared to products using traditional power supplies.

Stable Power Output: During operation, the battery voltage of a robotic vacuum cleaner gradually decreases as the battery power is consumed. The DC-DC power module can maintain a stable output voltage even with changes in input voltage. For example, when the battery voltage drops from 18V to 15V, the DC-DC power module can still maintain a stable output voltage of 5V, ensuring the normal operation of sensors and control chips.
